It's already cold today in the Plains with highs 10 to 20 degrees below average
Then a big chill arrives from the Northwest to Texas over this weekend and Monday
Sunday morning could have several record lows in the Northwest, followed by a very cold Monday morning from Portland to Omaha

The northern California event is of most concern with particularly strong winds going into Monday
